Résumé
À partir de trois modes d’approche, plastiques (support-surface) et esthétiques (représentation), ce bref article aborde la variation de la notion d’art, particulièrement lorsqu’on l’oppose à la technique, considérée comme issue directement des sciences. Si le grand public a longtemps refusé tout apport autre que la main pour qu’il y ait œuvre (on parle souvent de « fait à la main » comme argument supplémentaire de qualité), il est actuellement détrompé par l’usage massif des nouvelles technologies, qui favorisent la faisabilité d’une œuvre. Reste à savoir quels sont les critères techniques qui ont fait l’œuvre, compliqués aujourd’hui par l’arrivée du numérique.

Summary
Through three approaches, plastic (support-surface) and esthetics (representation), this short article deals with the variation of art notion, especially when opposed to the technic considered as a direct outcome of sciences. If general public refused for a long time any other means than by hand to make an artwork (as a proof of quality it is often spoken of “hand-craft”), it is now undeceived by the massive use of new technologies which favor an artwork feasibility. What are the technic criteria that made the artwork now complicated by digital emergence yet still remains to know.
